Isle Target Sports Club

The Club supports many forms of outdoor target sports, including archery, airgun and firearms in all their many forms. We operate from an outdoor range complex, including 25m and 50m firearm ranges, situated approximately six miles due west of the city of Ely (Near the villages of Sutton & Mepal). The Club is a non-profit making organisation run by Committee. The Club owns the main ranges and leases additional land. The Club purchased the ranges with the help of funding from East Cambridgeshire County Council, with the backing of Sutton Parish Council. No firearms or ammunition are stored on the premises.

We have Home Office Approval for all classes of firearm. The firearm's range has covered 25m and 50m firing points. Gallery rifles, rim-fire rifles (including sub 0.22 calibres), full-bore rifles and black powder rifles and pistols may be used on this range. The Club has loan firearms, which are available to members by arrangement. The Club can also supply ammunition. The club regularly hires ranges for those members that hold full-bore rifles and wish to shoot at longer distances.
Shotguns can be used on the site two days per month (1st Sunday, 3rd Sunday). The range is an approved shooting ground for these two days. The club has Electrically operated traps on site. Loan shotguns are available. Ammunition and clays are available for purchase.
Archery ranges are in excess of 50m and located to the side of the firearmís range. The club supports both longbow and crossbow disciplines. Target bosses and stands are available at the range and simple practice bows are available. We have a skilled instructor to teach you bowmanship.
The 50m covered field air gun range is located to the front of the firearmís range. Air gun target shooting can also take place on the 25m/50m firearms range if not being used for firearms and any other areas deemed safe.
The club has recently added a practical airgun range to our list of activities. Come along and try it out, and have a little bit of fun.
